• editing the Institute of Chartered Accountants' Auditing, Assurance and Ethics Handbook, a paperback text book version of the auditing, assurance and ethical pronouncements for use by members and students, published by John Wiley
• assisting with the preparation of reports on financial and reporting issues to be used in litigation

Editing the Audit and Assurance Handbook involves ensuring that the correct versions of the standards are included in the publication as at the stipulated cut-off date, and adding brief notes to inform readers of significant changes since the previous edition.

Reporting and assurance consultant

• Editor of the Institute's Audit and Assurance Handbook
• Drafting submissions to government and standard setting boards on behalf of the Institute
• Writing articles for the Institute's magazine Charter, its newsletters and its website
• Assisting the disciplinary process by reviewing members' work when a complaint has been raised
• Assisting members with their research into financial and reporting issues via the Members' Helpline

• Researching financial reporting and assurance technical issues for partners and other staff in the audit practice
